About Spark & Shine Agency

Spark & Shine Agency sp. z o.o. is a review site for casino resorts, run from Strzelecka 49 in Poznań. We publish long-form reviews of properties we can check against official specifications, regulator publications and consistent guest reporting. We are not a casino, a travel agency or a booking agent, and we hold no licence to be any of those things.

Five properties are reviewed so far: The Venetian Macao, Marina Bay Sands, Bellagio Las Vegas, Casino de Monte-Carlo and Sun City. Each is scored from 0 to 10 on seven criteria (location, accommodation, casino information, dining, amenities, entertainment and accessibility) carrying fixed weightings between 5% and 20%. Because the weightings are published, any score on this site can be recalculated from its parts.

No property pays for coverage, a score, a badge or a position in a listing, and none sees its review before publication. Press material is treated as a set of claims to check: a figure reaches a review only once an official specification, a regulator publication or repeated independent guest reporting supports it. Where a resort is weak, the review names the criterion and says why.

What we deliberately leave out is booking. There is no reservation engine here and no payment passes through this site. The links on each review go to the property’s own site or to a licensed booking platform, where their terms replace ours. When a review turns out to be wrong we correct it on the live page rather than removing it quietly; errors can be reported through the contact page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the casino hotels featured on this website real?

They are. Every property, resort and destination on this site is a real operating business, and we do not invent properties, gaming zones, amenities or ratings. If a hotel is reviewed here you can travel to it, book a room and play in its casino.

Can I book a room directly through your website?

No. There is no booking engine on this site and we never process reservations or take payments. The “Check Availability” links send you to the hotel’s own site or to a licensed booking platform, and your reservation is made there under their terms.

Do you offer online gambling or casino games on this site?

No. Our website does not host, offer, or facilitate any form of online gambling, sports betting, or real-money gaming. Furthermore, we do not offer "free-to-play" social casino games. Our content is purely editorial, providing reviews, history, and logistical information about physical, land-based casino resorts located around the world.

How do you determine the ratings and reviews for these properties?

Seven criteria, each scored 0 to 10 and weighted: accommodation and casino information at 20% each, location, dining and amenities at 15% each, entertainment at 10% and accessibility at 5%. The overall score is the weighted average, published to one decimal place. The full table and the six-stage process behind it are on How We Review.

What is the legal age to enter the casinos you review?

The legal age for casino entry and gambling varies significantly depending on the jurisdiction and country where the resort is located. For instance, in most of the United States (like Las Vegas), the minimum age is 21. In many European locations (like Monaco) and Asian destinations (like Macau), the minimum age is typically 18 or 21. We always recommend checking the specific age requirements and local laws of your chosen destination before planning your trip.

What should I wear to a luxury casino?

Dress codes vary widely by destination and time of day. European casinos like Monte-Carlo often enforce a strict formal or semi-formal dress code (jackets for men, elegant dresses for women) especially in the evening. Las Vegas and Macau resorts are generally more relaxed, adopting a "smart casual" approach during the day, though high-limit rooms and fine dining restaurants within the resort will still require upscale attire. We detail specific dress codes within each individual hotel review.

Are these hotels suitable for non-gamblers?

Yes. These are integrated resorts, and the casino is one floor of a much larger building. At Marina Bay Sands or The Venetian you can spend a week on the shopping, theatre programme, pool decks, spa and restaurants without entering the gaming floor. Accessibility and non-gaming amenities each carry their own weighting in our scores for exactly that reason.

Do you update your reviews regularly?

Yes. Restaurants close, floors get reconfigured and rooms get renovated, so we re-check each review periodically against the property’s current published information. Even so, verify anything your trip depends on (a specific restaurant, a room category, a show date) with the hotel before you book.

What is the difference between a standard hotel and a casino hotel?

While standard hotels focus primarily on lodging, a casino hotel is an integrated resort where the casino is a central, driving feature of the property's design and revenue. Consequently, casino hotels often boast significantly larger footprints, vastly more dining and entertainment options on-site, and a high-energy atmosphere that operates 24/7. The architectural scale and level of integrated luxury are usually much higher in casino resorts.
